23 STAFF OF NPSC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE PROFESSIONAL REPORTING, WRITING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

On 14th June 2024, 23rd staff from NPSC (National Public Service Commission) successfully completed the 10-day in house training on professional reporting, writing and communication skills at A&P house facilitated by Rwanda Management Institute ( RMI).

Professional reporting, Writing and communication Skills was designed to introduce NPSC staff to the fundamentals of successful Professional Communication and Writing Skills:  listening, speaking; reading and effective writing skills at workplace. 

 

The training includes among others: Introduction to Professional Communication,
communication Skills, Professional Writing Skills, Report writing, Minutes, policy brief, concept note and briefing note writing, Professional Presentation and Reviewing the writing, Meetings, Memorandum, notice; agenda and e-mail writing, and Business communication writing. 

Understand the value of professional communication and report writing is paramount in building good client relationships in the workplace.

Developing Professional reporting and writing skills will help participants in all aspects of one’s life, from his/her professional life to social gatherings. The ability to communicate information accurately, clearly, as intended, is a vital life skill and something that should not be neglected.

In his closing remarks, on behalf of RMI Director General, the Deputy Director General of RMI, Mr. Kizito Habimana, urged participants to start utilizing the knowledge gained in the benefit of the institution utilize it as a prerequisite in their daily professional lives.  

The knowledge you have got here is important it is better to start using it as soon as possible so that you don't forget it; If not so you will forget everything”. “The knowledge gained is useful for you because from today, you will be able to deliver efficiently and even help others at work”, Habimana said.

Habimana also saluted the participation of Honorable Angelina MUGANZA who completed this training, which he considered as an exemplary leadership.

Honorable Angelina Muganza highlighted the importance of upgrading or refreshing our knowledge as it will positively impact the quality of service provided. “I realized that learning never ends as the world evolves”. She stated.

Training participants also stated that this training upgrade their level in writing “We have been writing different documents (reports, concept notes, brief notes, proposals….) but after this training, we are confident as the training was insightful and constructive toward a professional work we expect to provide.”
