A DELEGATION FROM UGANDA
On February 6, 2025, Hon. Angelina MUGANZA, Executive Secretary of the National Public Service Commission (NPSC), welcomed a delegation from the Uganda National Social Security Fund. The delegation, led by Mr. Bernard KAGIMU, Business Analyst, was in Rwanda for a study visit.
The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the operations and responsibilities of the NPSC, particularly its role in ensuring public institutions adhere to human resources policies, principles, and laws. The Ugandan delegation sought to understand the NPSC's activities, which include:
Conducting HRM audits
Producing assessment reports
Handling second-level appeals as a final recourse
Conducting research surveys
Madame NIKUZE Laure Ariane, Director of the Professionalism Promotion & Human Resource Management Oversight Unit, provided a detailed explanation of the NPSC's functions and mandate. She emphasized the Commission's establishment as a solution to challenges faced by job seekers and its commitment to ensuring fairness for government employees.
During the interaction, the delegation and NPSC members exchanged best practices concerning digitalizing HR processes.
In closing, the Ugandan delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to foster continued collaboration and cooperation between the two countries in promoting effective public service management.
